Description
Named after Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson, the HMS Nelson was constructed at Armstrong's shipyard in Newcastle, eventually to be called upon as a flagship of the Home Fleet. The ship lent support to a raid on German facilities in Norway and went on to protect the Malta convoy in the Mediterranean.
