The Z-43 is a 1936B destroyer, which entered service on March 24, 1944. A total of 3 destroyers of this class were in service, and the remaining 2 were not built. The Type 1936A destroyer originally planned to install a dual-mounted front main gun, but because the dual-mounted main gun was not developed, a single-mounted front main gun was used. When the twin guns were finally installed on the destroyer, it proved that the twin guns were too heavy for the existing building structure. The measures to strengthen the bow did not greatly improve the airworthiness. Therefore, the 1936B type replaced the main gun with a 127mm single-mounted gun, but it was not suitable for ocean operations. This class of destroyers only performs missions in the Baltic Sea and coastal waters.
