The U.S. Navy BB-61 "Iowa" battleship is one of the most famous battleships of World War II. The ship has a total tonnage of 45,000 tons, a speed of 33 knots, and is equipped with nine 16-inch naval guns. Construction began on September 16, 1940 at the New York Naval Dock, and officially entered service on February 22, 1943.
