The M920 is a model of the M915 series of military trucks produced by General Electric. It is used to tow heavy-duty semi-trailers on roads and in the field. The wheelbase of the car is longer than that of the M916, and it has a pair of non-driving axles that are lifted and lowered by air suspension, which can provide an additional load capacity of 20,000 pounds. There is a 45,000-pound hydraulic winch behind the cab.
The M920 uses Cummins’ NTC-400 turbocharged diesel engine with an output of 400 horsepower at 2100 rpm. Matched with Caterpillar 7155 semi-automatic transmission (16 forward gears, 2 reverse gears) transmission. The brake adopts pneumatic drum brake.
M920 series trucks/tractors adopt 8×6 drive mode, where 8 is the total number of axles, and 6 is the number of driving wheels.
