Description

Haguro was put into service in March 2021 as the second ship of Maya escort ship. It is equipped with the latest Aegis combat system and it has integrated air defense capability including ballistic missile defense and joint engagement capability. With the inauguration of this ship, an eight-ship system has been established, with two Aegis ships each in a group of four escorts.
